Wisdom says success should be very wary
not of powerful foes but of weak mates.
For we never show our weakness to a foe
but all weapons are surrendered to a friend.

So if a mate strikes its always deadly
its true mates are not supposed to!
But sometimes they destroy mates
and give friendship a bad name.

When two beings are always together
pain, jealousy or rude words creep in.
Friends ignore them but mates don’t
sometimes they form bitter rage.

If the love never existed between them
or it was too weak, rage wins.
One is destroyed by the other
One who still trusts and that becomes his ruin.
