Thursday Rhymes 18.6.15

dusk gathering slowly, languorously
she changes her cloaks
blue becomes pink, then golden, gray
slowly she picks up the final robe
the star-studded black
and tiptoes down to earth
the soft brush of her cloak
brings the embrace of sleep with it,
the earth falls asleep
she sings her sweet lullaby
wind carries it across the lands, seas
sleepless ears hear that song
sleepers hear it in their dreams.
