POEM 8

1.16

When they first met he left her
never even looked back twice.
Even though he knew she was
waiting for one call from him.
He thought she was too soft
too naïve, too childish, too pure.
He thought she did not had power
to face the world as his mate.

Years went by lovers came and left
slowly a knowledge crept
inside his heart and soul.
He has lost a real pearl like a fool
a pearl he might have had to protect
from the world once in a while.
But it was worth that trouble
for all priceless things have their price.
